Full job descriptions are as follows:-

Plastic Production Planner

The Role: This is a key role in the operations management team, which we see growing substantially over the next 10 years. Reporting directly to the Plastic Production Manager, the main purpose of this position is to plan the orders from internal sales request to despatch, ensuring total on-time delivery and quality. Main duties will include:-

  • Planning of customer orders through the entire manufacturing process chain
  • Work with all members of the operational team to communicate customer lead-time expectations and follow up to ensure orders are processed giving enough time/resource to process accordingly
  • Expedite orders through process chain using internal systems
  • Assist Production Manager with quality admin / expediting
  • Be a key part of New Order Review Meetings for NPI/Production orders, ensuring all relevant customer expectations are understood and can be planned effectively
  • Work to improve effectiveness of current systems/processes
  • Ensure customer order status is being communicated back through to internal sales
  • Administrate sub-contract orders and expedite with suppliers as and when required
  • Ensure all NOR/Build/Order paperwork is scanned and archived
  • Be part of continuous improvement teams to carry out production related improvement projects
  • Assist in pack and dispatch during busy periods

The Candidate/Qualifications/Experience:

The successful candidate will be a highly organised and tenacious individual with outstanding people skills. They will be target driven and be able to remain calm under pressure in a fast moving, high pressured environment. Aerospace Account Manager

The Role: Management and development of Key Customer Accounts for the sale of plastic and metal parts produced via Additive Manufacturing. Responsible for ensuring that quotations are delivered on-time and closed effectively. Responsible for project managing customer projects and acting as the “customer’s voice” within 3T, along with development of new opportunities within existing customer base. Main duties will include:-

  • Driving sales from key accounts and building relationships
  • Develop new opportunities within assigned industries, developing customer’s knowledge of AM and its capabilities
  • Process customer quotes from initial enquiry to completion rapidly, including liaising with internal staff and obtaining quotations for sub-contract work
  • Monitor all customer interactions and projects
  • Project Management of complex production work, liaising with internal staff and communicating project status to customers
  • Develop customers’ awareness of 3T’s widening services, including post processing and new materials
  • Obtain feedback from customers
  • Customer data management through a CRM system
  • Providing sales forecasting data
  • Working with the Marketing Team to develop marketing collateral

The Candidate/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Account or Project Management experience, ideally in Aerospace or Automotive sectors
  • Technical or Engineering Degree is desirable but not essential, but a good level of technical understanding is required
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, ideally with experience of Additive Manufacturing
  • Experience in High Value Manufacturing
  • Preferably sales experience within a technical industry
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret manufacturing requirements
  • English, Maths, literacy to a good competence level
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Diligent and organised approach to work
  • Professional and capable customer interaction ability
  • Self-motivated
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
  • Use of a CRM system

Lead Inspector

The Role: This is a key role in the Quality Team, which we see growing substantially over the next 5-10 years. For this role we require an excellent communicator to develop the quality system, in process control and mentor others to give total quality approach through the day to day operations. Main duties include:-

  • Manage inspection activities, including Goods-In
    • Creating and maintaining work instructions, including product / customer specific documents
    • Assist Senior Quality Engineer with training in-process inspectors
    • Work with Production Planner / Managers to ensure there is enough capacity and lead-time for inspection
    • Team Leader responsibilities as new Inspectors join
    • Carry out internal audits, surveillance checks and re-approval of Inspectors
  • Carry out inspection
    • Review & validate in-process inspection, including some manual inspection
    • Scanning
    • FAIRs
    • Jig & Gauge creation for inspection
  • Maintain inspection facilities and equipment to a high standard, including calibration control
  • Assist Senior Quality Engineer to develop product testing capabilities
  • Keep up-to date with relevant inspection technologies and processes

The Candidate/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Workshop practical process knowledge
  • Good foundation level of engineering
  • Scanner and CMM competent
  • Inspection experience
  • Root cause analysis and managing the implementation of corrective actions
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong ‘can do’ attitude and work ethic
  • An organised and tidy approach to work
  • Excellent at prioritising daily tasks
  • Enjoys communicating with a wide range of people from all levels of the organisation and is able to discuss problems and work to a resolution in a positive, constructive manner
