Whether you are interested in Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology to save time, lower costs, reduce weight or produce complex structures, it’s hard to stay up-to-date with the technology and all it can do for your company or industry sector.
We offer bespoke seminars to individual companies (with a minimum of 6-8 delegates) so that you and your colleagues can broaden your understanding of AM (also known as 3D Printing), covering plastic (Selective Laser Sintering) and metal (Direct Metal Laser Sintering or DMLS) additive layer manufacturing. We will demonstrate how, through the use of these innovative technologies, you can obtain 3-dimensional aesthetic models, functional prototypes and production parts, directly from CAD data without the need for any tooling.
There is an opportunity to take a tour of our plastic and metal AM facilities, so you can see the machines in action. And our technical experts will be available throughout the event for discussions regarding your specific project requirements.
Content – we will explain the technologies in more detail and illustrate how their application can assist in the development of your new products, enabling you to achieve your goals and maintain your position in the marketplace:-
- Understanding AM and the plastic and metal processes
- Benefits of Additive Manufacturing
- Getting the best out of plastic and metal AM
- What applications AM are appropriate for, and what they aren’t
- Materials and applications
- Designing for Additive Manufacturing
- Understanding CAD data requirements
- How the technology can work for you
Numbers – we can accommodate a maximum of 12 delegates in a round-table format or up to 20 in theatre style. Alternatively, if you have more than this and have suitable meeting room facilities, we can bring the event to you! The only disadvantage is that you wouldn’t see the AM machines in action, however we do have excellent video footage that shows the metal and plastic AM processes from start to finish.
Timings – we can tailor the event to a full or half-day, depending on your requirements. Generally, if it’s a full day, we have coffee and registration at 9.30am, and presentations conclude at approx. 4.30pm. And we provide you with a buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day!
Location – our manufacturing site on Greenham Business Park, Newbury has easy access from the M3, M4 and A34, and links from mainline railway stations at Newbury and Thatcham, providing services from London Paddington and the West Country. Heathrow is 1 hour away, and Gatwick 1.5 hours. View a map of where we are and details of transport links here.
Cost – subject to agreement based upon requirements.
