"SLS components give high levels of strength, functionality and durability,
enabling them to be used as fully operational parts in true working environments."

We support University students every year who are taking part in the Formula Student race events, as we believe this real-life exercise in design and manufacture, together with the business elements of automotive engineering, teaches them valuable lessons and results in the development of highly talented young engineers of the future.
The use of SLS gives them the advantage of being able to design complex parts that remain on their cars throughout their rigorous testing schedules and race events, providing them with a cost-effective solution in extremely short leadtimes. |

| Oxford Brookes University
We have sponsored the Oxford Brookes Formula Student team for several years, and were delighted to support them again by supplying SLS housings for their 2007 race car. The team found that the strength of the components meant that they could also act as structural supports for the radiator duct and fan, giving sufficient protection for the components in the (unlikely!) event of a crash.

| University of Hertfordshire
We produced a plenum chamber for the team's intake system and the ability of SLS to create complex forms meant that they could make their design as complicated as they liked. The 'selective' nature of the lasers during the building process and the ability to build parts without structural supports means that SLS lends itself perfectly to the intricate shapes often demanded by automotive components.
