| SAFETY first for SMOKE ALARM prototypes
Sprue Aegis is responsible for the innovative FireAngel PS-101 Plug-In Smoke Alarm which is a
consumer-fit, mains-powered smoke alarm. We produced SLS prototypes of the buzzer housings to
be used in testing to emulate the audible resonance created when the alarm is raised.

FORMULA STUDENT achieves TOP RESULTS with 3T
We supplied SLS prototype parts to the Oxford Brookes Formula Student teams for their 2004 and 2005
cars – the strength, durability and functionality of these components enabled them to be used in anger in
true working environments, and as fully operational parts for the duration of both race seasons.
The 2005 team finished 3rd in the UK and 15th overall out of 69 competitors at the Bruntingthorpe Proving
Ground, Leicestershire. They also celebrated 13th place at the Pontiac Silverdome, USA; the largest event
held in the US with 140 teams from across the world taking part.
