3T appoints new Director
Tim Plunkett, the CEO of 3T RPD Ltd, has decided to leave the company. Plunkett was one of the early pioneers of the UK Rapid Prototyping industry and he contributed significantly to developing 3T into a leading RP service bureau. Subsequent to Plunkett’s departure, 3T’s majority shareholder LHUM appointed Felix Fischer, the Investment Director of LHUM, as a new Director of 3T. LHUM is a venture capital fund focussed on the development of a global e-Manufacturing network.
3T successfully operates the largest laser sintering capability in the UK and the company has established itself as one of the top three laser sintering service bureaus worldwide. Laser sintering is considered the key technology for e-Manufacturing, the fast, flexible and cost-effective production of end-use parts directly from electronic data. By successfully providing laser sintering services to a wide customer base, from blue chip multinationals to independent inventors, 3T has developed a reputation for outstanding expertise, quality and service.
Going forward, 3T will continue to lead the paradigm shift from Rapid Prototyping to e-Manufacturing in the UK.
