11 November 2011 ... Today, Richard Benyon, MP, officially inaugurated 3T's new EOSINT M 280 machine.  The new machine is the first M 280 to be installed and working in the UK.  Speaking at the launch, Benyon said:  "3T is investing in the most up-to-the-minute manufacturing machinery. " It is companies like 3T that continue to invest, that will help to secure the future of manufacturing in the UK.  The UK is already a world leader in the Additive Manufacturing field and it is important that this competitive advantage is maintained. This technology plays to some of this country’s innate talents such as our characteristic inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit.  I see the work of 3T as taking a vital step towards a brighter future for British manufacturing.”             

He also commented that the local area is perceived as employing a high proportion of people in the service sector, but that today had reinforced that manufacturing is a significant and vital part of the area's economy and one that can continue to expand because of companies like 3T.

To thank Richard Benyon for visiting 3T, we made him a truly personalised gift.  A tie pin built in Titanium on the new M 280 which was created using his own signature.  We also created a bespoke box for the tie pin out of Nylon which included the 3T logo.
