3T to Focus Growth
on Rapid Prototyping Sector
In a move that acknowledges the significant
success achieved by Laser Sintering, particularly in the application to
low volume manufacturing, 3T RPD Ltd
is to cease further investment in its tooling operations.
This move will allow full concentration on
realising the potential offered by Laser Sintering. With high volume production
capability, as well as being able to offer coloured and coated components,
3T are continuing to make technological breakthroughs in the developing
Rapid Prototyping market.

of 3T states "After the work and innovation that has gone
into our tooling proposition, this is a disappointing conclusion. However,
the capital demanding nature of Rapid Prototyping and Tooling is proving
too stringent an objective for a small company to pursue. This move will
allow a focus and crystalisation of ideas and concepts directly into marketable
products within our Laser Sintering activities".
Tooling operations will cease as of September,
with assets and intellectual property being disposed of over the following
months.
