Christmas Cards by E-mail

Last year we donated £223 to BLISS, the National Charity for the Newborn, rather than send conventional Christmas Cards to our customers, prospects and suppliers. Read Press Release.

This year we repeated the same exercise and donated £150 to When You Wish Upon A Star, a charity that fulfils the wishes of children with life threatening and terminal illnesses. The highlight of each year is to charter 4 planes to take 400 terminally ill children to Lapland to see Father Christmas himself.

Sue Oram, Marketing Executive at 3T, said "We made the decision last year to do something a bit different. The majority of our marketing activity is done via e-mail and our website, so e-mailing a Christmas message seemed the logical solution. For every person that responded via a link on our website, we donated £1 to charity. Traditional Christmas cards, particularly those sent business-to-business, have a relatively short life, and most end up being thrown away, or at best, recycled. This way, we feel we're contributing to a worthy cause with long-term aims."
