3D Printing on Christmas wish list

6 December 2011 ... The Daily Telegraph today suggests that a 3D printer would be the perfect present.  With an all round overview of the 3D printing, or additive manufacturing, landscape, the article makes interesting reading.  The DT's Roger Highfield says that the 'next industrial revolution could be upon us' and whilst we at 3T don't see many people putting one of our EOS machines on their Christmas present list, we agree with his upbeat view on the future of the technology.

So, if you're not planning to ask Father Christmas for a 3D printer, why not let us take care of your additive manufacturing needs.  Here are the details of our seasonal opening arrangements:

The deadline for receiving data and orders is 5pm on Thursday, 22 December.  Our offices will be closed from noon on Friday, 23 December to Monday, 2 January 2012 inclusive, however our plastic (SLS) machines will continue to build parts during this time ready for when you’re back to work in the New Year.  For metal (DMLS) orders, we will respond before noon on Friday, 23 December with an acknowledgement and confirm a delivery date for the New Year.

During the shut-down period, deliveries may be possible but will be subject to the availability of couriers and mail services.  Normal 3T service for both SLS and DMLS will resume on Tuesday, 3 January 2012.  You can Request a Quote online or email your data and order to post@3trpd.co.uk.

Happy Christmas!
