Home >> Latest News >> Charity Donation to Cancer Research Charity Donation to Cancer Research Every Christmas 3T RPD Ltd donate the money they would have spent on Christmas cards to a national charity, with the emphasis being on contributing to a worthwhile cause with long-term aims. Instead of sending out traditional, printed cards, 3T send a Christmas greeting via e-mail to their customers, prospects and suppliers, and for every person that responds via a link to their website, £1 is donated to the nominated charity. For Christmas 2005 3T chose to support Cancer Research UK, the world's leading charity dedicated to research on the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer. Their vision is to conquer cancer through world-class research, aiming to control the disease within two generations. They support the work of over 3,000 scientists, doctors and nurses working across the UK and their annual scientific spend is more than £213 million, which is raised almost entirely through public donations. A total of £273 was donated to the charity. At Christmas 2004, 3T donated £176 to Bullying Online. Last year more than 6,000 parents and children emailed the Bullying Online charity for advice, and thousands more visited the website. The trustees who work for this charity all give their time for free. This means that every penny raised is spent on running their website to help an increasing number of families. In 2003, £238 was sent to CLIC; Challenging Cancer and Leukeamia in Childhood, a national charity committed to providing the best possible support to children and their families throughout the UK. £150 was donated to When You Wish Upon A Star at Christmas 2002 - a charity that fulfils the wishes of children with life threatening and terminal illnesses. The highlight of each year is to charter 4 planes to take 400 terminally ill children to Lapland to see Father Christmas himself. 2001 saw 3T donating £223 to BLISS, the National Charity for the Newborn. BLISS works to give every baby born in Britain an equal start in life. In any one year, 1 in 10 babies born in Britain will require special hospital care and 1 in 100 will require the highest level of care.
