Paul returns to the industry after an absence of nearly 2 years, which have been spent developing the export business of a leading Midlands based manufacturing group. Prior to that, Paul spent 3 years with Formation Limited as their Key Account Manager, where he developed strong customer relationships from his consultative selling approach. He then spent several months with Omega Plastics, before deciding to leave the industry in December 1999. Paul explains, "In 1999 the industry was moving away from relationship selling and becoming a commodity market place. Two years on and Tim has carved out another chunk of the market, concentrating on raising the functional capabilities of prototypes. These 2 years have seen one man with a vision and a couple of empty industrial units grow into the operation we see as 3T today. The company policy to provide and develop solutions through a consultative approach was ideally suited to me and I have no hesitation in making an exciting return to the industry by joining 3T." Tim Plunkett, CEO of 3T adds, "3T has evolved to become a market leader in Rapid Product Development and we are already running the largest sintering capability in the UK. The success of the company stems from a combination of both the technologies being developed and the skill of the people we have carefully selected. This approach is crucial to a company whose prime objective is to pursue higher levels of functionality in its prototyping, whilst squeezing vital days out of product development schedules." Paul continues, "I am delighted to be teaming up with Tim again and I look forward to re-establishing my former relationships as well as developing new ones. I will enjoy speaking to people with a strategic and long-term vision who want more than just a commodity prototype. By investing with 3T now, customers will unlock the door to a whole range of technologies that will keep them constantly at the forefront of Rapid Product Development". Paul's experience of applying RP&T solutions span many industry sectors, including power tools, domestic appliances, electronics, automotive and aerospace.
