3T supports charity at Christmas
Every Christmas 3T donate the money they would have spent on traditional Christmas cards to a worthy cause via an e-card to their customers and suppliers. For every person that responds via a link to their website, £1 is donated to the nominated charity. Staff also donate what they would have spent on cards to each other too.
This year 3T donated £262.73 to the Aaron Lewis Foundation, which has very personal connections to the company.
On December 15 2008, Lt Aaron Lewis of 29 Commando Unit was killed in action in Afghanistan. He was aged just 26 – it was his first deployment. The Aaron Lewis Foundation has been created by family and friends and, based around “unity” and “teamwork”, they can now combine their charitable efforts in order to make a far more significant contribution to some of the causes close to Aaron’s heart, and to continue his legacy.
Sue Burnip, 3T’s Marketing Executive, said “Whilst conventional Christmas cards are received with appreciation, they do end up being thrown away or, at best, recycled a week after Christmas! We’ve toyed with the idea of buying charity cards, but really want to do something a bit different. With digital marketing and online communication becoming the norm, this is an ideal solution and is always well received by our customers and suppliers.”
